A clinical study was carried out by UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) as part of the PAMPAT 2 Project to scientifically demonstrate the effectiveness of this miraculous oil.

Harvesting the prickly pear is quite restrictive due to the spikes it presents.
And the process of extracting and drying the seeds is quite long; to produce one liter of prickly pear seed oil, 35 to 50 kilos of seeds are needed, which represents a ton of fruit. Organic prickly pear seed oil is a rare commodity due to its low yield since each seed contains only 5% pure oil.
