What Is a Cold-Processed Superfatted Soap (CP Soap) ?
The Cold Process : a Low-Temperature Reaction
Cold process saponification is the artisanal soap-making method carried out at under 40 °C, with no industrial heating. Fats (organic vegetable oils and butters) react with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) to produce two components : fatty acid salts that cleanse, and native vegetable glycerin that remains entirely within the soap bar — unlike industrial soaps, where it is extracted and resold.
This process also preserves the heat-sensitive active compounds found in organic oils : tocopherols (vitamin E), phytosterols, polyphenols and unsaturated fatty acids. The result is a natural soap for sensitive skin that is noticeably gentler, more nourishing and more respectful of the skin barrier than a hot-processed industrial soap.

Superfatting : the Active Care at the Heart of CP Soap
The superfat rate designates the percentage of organic oils intentionally left unsaponified in the formula. These free oils remain in the soap and help to :

Do you offer samples before ordering ?
